Dr. Marie obtained her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (D.M.D.) from the University of the East in 2000 and has built up an extensive experience in private dental care.  She took a mentorship program in Orthodontics, MEAW technique & TMJ Disorder under Dr. Tuazon. During her studies she expressed a keen interest in periodontics, which eventually led her to the Philippine Society of Periodontology Workshop in 2008.  In 2016, she joined the Continuing Periodontal Education on Comprehensive Periodontal Surgery at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry in the University of Southern California (USC). She received her training on Pinhole Surgical Technique under Dr. John Chao in Alhambra, California.

 

Dr. Marie is the first certified Pinhole® Surgical Technique clinician in the Philippines to offer  this minimally invasive option for treating receding gums without the pain and recovery time required with gum grafting surgery. Currently, she maintains memberships with numerous professional organizations such as the Philippine Dental Association, Periodontal Society, Quezon City Dental chapter and Pinhole Academy.
